Monday…

Is the start of me clean eating, exercising, and looking after myself properly. I have really let it slide in these last few unbelievably stressful months of uni, and I was NOT HAPPY when I realised I’ve gone up to 12 stone. I have 28lbs to lose, and I WILL do it.

Fuck yeah, I has this tattoo :)

The Knit to Live Project is a newly established knit campaign that aims to improve quality of life for those suffering with mental illnesses such as a depression and anxiety through knit.

Check out the website for more information and to see how you can get involved. I’m incredibly excited by this new campaign, and I’d love it if you could like my Facebook page and follow me on Twitter!

Thanks a million!

Check it oooout :D

Come on Toni, just a couple more hours then you can go to bed! Gah, uni is literally killing me.

Hey guys!

I’ve just set up a website for my new knitting campaign - The Knit to Live Project. It aims to improve quality of life for those suffering with mental illness such as depression and anxiety, but also addresses just how beneficial it can be for people who don’t struggle with mental issues too. I’d really love it if you’d head over to the website and check it out for me. If you  like it please visit the Facebook page and show your support, I really think this is an exciting cause that could potentially change people’s lives!

Thank you so much!

kindofahoarder asked: Hey there! I've always used my knitting as a way to calm down and relax. Whenever I'm feeling overwhelmed it's nice to do.

Hi! Thank you for your input, I love to knit when I’m feeling down, or stressed, it’s incredibly calming!

If you’re interested I’ve set up a website called The Knit to Live Project, and also a Facebook page for it. I still don’t know how viable it is, but it’s something I definitely want to pursue further!

Are there any knitters out there….

who use knit as a way of controlling their depression or anxiety? I know I always have and it’s been really helpful at times, but because of my anxiety I’ve struggled to join in with social situations such as knitting circles in person. I’m looking at setting up a campaign for my Final Major Project which will raise awareness of the potential benefits of knitting and crafting for people with mental illnesses, and possibly trying to create some form of online knitting circle. I’m literally just spitballing here, so I have no idea how viable this is, but it’s something I’m pretty interested in.

If anyone is at all interested in this idea, even if you don’t suffer at all from mental illness but think this is a good idea please let me know. Also, if you have any ideas of your own that could be helpful don’t hesitate to get in touch :)
